Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy applies to all customers and users of ArcData APAC Ltd (trading as ArcData) network, connectivity, IP transit and data centre services. By using our services you agree to this policy. It exists to protect our customers, our network and the wider internet.
Prohibited uses
You must not use ArcData services to:
- Send unsolicited bulk email, spam or other unsolicited messages.
- Distribute malware, ransomware, viruses or other malicious code.
- Conduct or facilitate denial-of-service attacks, port scanning or unauthorised access to any system or network.
- Host, transmit or store content that is illegal under New Zealand law or the law of the destination jurisdiction, including material that infringes intellectual property rights.
- Impersonate any person or organisation, or forge headers, routing information or origin addresses.
- Interfere with, degrade or disrupt the services or networks of ArcData or any third party.
Network and address resources
IP address space, autonomous system numbers and other numbering resources assigned or delegated by ArcData remain subject to APNIC policies and the terms of your service agreement. You must not announce, re-assign or use address space you are not authorised to use, and must maintain accurate contact and abuse records for resources under your control.
Export control and end use
Services must not be used in breach of New Zealand or international export controls, sanctions or trade restrictions, and must not be used to support the development of weapons of mass destruction or other prohibited end uses.
Enforcement
ArcData may investigate suspected breaches of this policy. Where a breach is found we may issue a warning, filter or rate-limit traffic, suspend or terminate services, and cooperate with law enforcement or affected third parties. We will act proportionately and, where practical, give notice before taking action.
Reporting abuse
To report abuse originating from the ArcData network, email sophia.bristow@arcdata.nz with the source IP address, timestamps in UTC and relevant log extracts. You can also call +64 9 363 5660.
